STAY AWAY!!!

Do your research and find literally anyone else. You’ll find many people saying they were ripped off just like I was. From everyone else I’ve talked to that’s been ripped off the excuses are always the same. He will say 95 days and say it’s on time up until then. That’s when the excuses and stalling starts. Medical testing, parts shortages, out of town… I failed a claim with PayPal to get my money back and then all the sudden the harness is ready if I cancel the claim. Tip- Don’t do that because it cannot be reopened if he doesn’t ship. I opened a new invoice with him and he said it would ship in a week. Took two weeks of constant hounding and finally something shipped. What arrived was the factory fuse box and bulk head connectors a and some wiring linking them together. A very incomplete harness. More excuses from John when I contacted him…. filed another claim with PayPal, and they will not do anything because something was shipped. 3 months after the original due date he still has my money, ecu, and all my other parts. He has been unresponsive as he thinks he has figured out a way to steal peoples stuff and hard earned money.

He will probably respond with lies. That’s all you can guarantee to get from him.

UPDATE - Just over 6 months after JCW’s original proposed ship date, we have come to a settlement agreement. To get to this point it required getting the Michigan Attorney General’s customer protection branch involved. JCW refused to return parts I sent to him and refund money. What we settled on was JCW sending me a new product from one of his competitors that he had in his possession. I now need to sell that product to try and recover some of the funds lost. I am still out months of time, and a lot of money to source new parts to have my project finished.

JCW asked if I still feel like I have been “ripped off” after the settlement which I stated in my original review. I responded that I feel like I have been screwed to put it simply. JCW requested that I that update the review from ripped off to screwed, so here it is. Still one star. Still do not recommend anyone do business with John’s Custom Wiring!

I had a custom harness made. John did a great job ! He used premium connectors and Taylor Made it to fit my LS swapped 240 Volvo. We relocated a ton of components to differentiate areas of the car and he made sure we had the correct plugs to fit. factory form and function.
I would recommend John’s custom wiring for anyone doing a LS swap!

John is the man, first and foremost. My harness was absolutely perfect. Loomed, labeled, and at all the right lengths. I ls swapped my 97 Silverado and had zero problems with it. I was even able to install an autometer invision cluster later, from the factory plug in the dash. It was well worth the money and the lead time wait. He will be the ONLY person I trust with any harnesses I may need in the future.

Was a lil late on shipping but the quality on the harness seems to be top notch , new pigtails , fire wall plate ,wires . I'll update after i hit the key.

John integrated a stock OBS harness and my Holley Terminator harness. Did a really nice job. Was very thorough and used high quality materials. Delivery was a little more than estimated but we were two months into Covid and working through the unknowns. Would recommend.

I paid John in full and sent him my harnesses in September 17 2021.was told there is a 92 day backorder. It's now January 5 2023. Still no harness .refuses a refund
Keeps giving me excuses after excuses. I have used his harnesses before and I'm sure you will find a review somewhere where I highly recommended him but that is not the case any longer
